Why get pet insurance?

Just like us, most pets will visit the doctor a few times each year. Pet insurance helps with the unexpected costs. While routine visits are more affordable, it’s large surgeries and ongoing treatment costs where pet insurance really helps. Below are some examples of where pet insurance can make a difference.

Cat hit by car

If your cat is accidentally hit by a car and broke its leg you will be covered for the cost of the injury to its broken leg such as x-rays, blood test, medications (pain relief, antibiotics, IV fluids), anaesthetic, surgery to repair and follow up re-checks (bandage changes, x-rays, medications). All these costs will be covered up to the limits under the policy.

Dog foreign body ingestion

If your dog accidentally swallowed your socks! The cost to investigate and remove the socks such as x-rays, ultrasound, blood test, medications (pain relief, antibiotics, IV fluids), anaesthetic and surgery to remove and follow up re-checks (stitch removal, medications) will be covered up to the limits under the policy.
